Information

Nearly one year ago an international meeting was organised by the UNEVOC Centre of UNESCO and the Chinese educational authorities in Hangzhou, China. The result of the meeting was a jointly agreed Masters framework for TVET teachers (MF-TT). In order to support a worldwide implementation of the framework a new international network UNIP was established to promote the follow-up activities in different global regions. The coordination of the network was given to the “Institut Technik & Bildung” (ITB) which is one of the major European TVET research institutes.

In this context we hereby invite you to participate in the first European working conference of the UNIP-network. The theme of the working conference is “Promoting professionalisation and innovations in teacher education for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) – European working conference on the international Masters Framework for TVET teachers (MF-TT)”.

The working conference is organised on the 6th and 7th of February 2006, Monday and Tuesday. (Please have a look at the preliminary programme and the call for input papers.
The venue of the working conference is the Akershus University College (Högskole i Akershus – HIAK), which is the leading TVET teacher education institute in Norway. HIAK is located at Lilleström, near the Oslo Airport and is easily accessible via the Airport train.

Unfortunately there is no external funding for the working conference. Therefore, the participants are expected to cover their own costs. However, we will do our best to make the event worthwhile.
Registration

If you can participate, please fill the registration form and send it to the SEVU centre of the HIAK by 20.12.2005 (e-mail: sevu@hiak.no). If you need a signed invitation letter, please inform us immediately (see our contact details below). If you cannot participate yourself, please inform us whom we could contact as a potential participant. Those who have registered as participants will be sent more detailed information on travelling, accommodation and other practical arrangements.
Travel and Accomodation
The participants are responsible for travel arrangements and hotel reservation. Lillestrøm is located near Oslo-Gardermoen Airport. It takes about 12 minutes with the express train that stops at Lillestrøm’s station.
