The European working conference of the UNIP network was organised in Oslo on 6.2.-7.2.2006 jointly with the Akershus University College (HIAK) and the UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre. The conference took decisions to launch the European section of the UNIP network (UNIP-Europe) and elected a Regional Board. Prof. Anne-Lise Höstmark-Tarrou from HIAK was elected as the first chair and Pekka Kämäräinen as the secretary. The concluding session approved also an Action Plan for the year 2006 and agreed on the joint Oslo Memorandum.
